David always thought...if he didn't do it 100% right the first time he FAILED....
If there were 30 words on a spelling test and he got 2 wrong he FAILED. He wasn't good enough...because the kid next to him didn't get any wrong. The boy had/has ego problems that I have no idea how to solve. ( though I think his girlfriend is helping him feel better about himself!!!)

Ya gotta get him to want to learn and be happy with not quite perfect. YOU can do it!!!!! I know!!!!
