    What's On The Plates - Sunday April 2 - Saturday 8

Papa John's. Craig had pepperoni and meatballs. I had ground beef and mushrooms. Not the best pizza in the world by far, but it's edible and I had a frustrating afternoon so didn't feel like cooking.

    What's On The Plates - Sunday April 2 - Saturday 8

We have Joe's stone crab mustard recipe. It's mayo, dry mustard, bit of worchestershire, a touch of A1, salt, cream. I've been told it's very good with soft pretzels as well.

    What's On The Plates - Sunday April 2 - Saturday 8

Quesadillas. Craig had chorizo, poblano pepper and onion, plus a couple of Mexican cheeses I had bits of leftover and frozen previously. I was supposed to have corn and fontinella cheese, but didn't even make it through my first piece before I stupidly yelled at 1 of the pugs while trying to...

What are you eating Sunday 3/26/2023 to Saturday 4/1/2023?

We are having dirty rice per Paul Prudhomme and leftover collard greens from the freezer. They aren't pretty so I'm not taking a picture. We've made corned beef in a salt water/spice brine. It is gray when done but tastes pretty much the same as deli corned beef. We use David Rosengarten's...

    40 Clove Garlic Chicken

I don't know about that recipe, but the 40 clove chicken recipe we have used tastes fantastic. I buy the jug of peeled whole garlic cloves in the produce section after peeling the 40 cloves the first time. :)

What are you eating Sunday 3/26/2023 to Saturday 4/1/2023?

Yes. I've never seen him, not that I'd know him unless I had just seen a picture, but a couple of guys we know have hung out with him in the backroom. He also performs on rare occasions from what I've been told. There's a little roped off stage with a set of drums along 1 wall. Oh, Craig...

What are you eating Sunday 3/26/2023 to Saturday 4/1/2023?

We went to Rock and Roll Ribs for lunch after running errands. Craig got our usual of a full rack of baby back ribs. It's owned by Nicko McBrain from Iron Maiden. This is the only place Craig will order ribs out. I decided on their rib eye, which was my first ever disappointment there. It was...

    ISO Corned beef hash

I need to get a thick piece of corned beef at deli, since we didn't make it for St. Paddy's day, and make some. It's been a while, though wd did go out for breakfast 2 or 3 weeks ago and Craig got some at his favorite place.

    Pork - Corn Chowder

I think the beans weren't in there long enough to pick up any flavoring so they tasted like beans fresh out of the can.

    Pork - Corn Chowder

This had a very good taste, but DO NOT use pork tenderloin. After I let it rest and then cut it up into pieces, it was juicy and tender. I ate several while cutting. After I put it in the hot chowder, the chunks turned tough, chewy and dry tasting. It was only 2 or 3 minutes between them...

    Biscuits and Gravy.......

That would get you lynched in the south. Cheese has no place in biscuits and gravy. 😄 With that said, I certainly wouldn't turn down a plateful.

    First tomato

I think these are classified as currant tomatoes? That coin is a dime BTW. They actually taste really good and aren't watery tasting at all. We like them in salads and especially in a caprese style galette

    First tomato

Oh well, I went looking for seeds. No freebies or really, really cheapies anymore. I found some on Etsy for $3.79 coming from Port Charlotte (west coast of Florida), free shipping, so I ordered some.
