Help me design a new kitchen

Yes, we have 1) a server, and 2) an ancient Chinese chicken coop about 5.5' high x 4' wide used for various kitchen related storage items. Fran is all for swapping the DR and Kitchen. Joe, you're a genius. Coop:

Help me design a new kitchen

I'm not sure if we can do that. However, there will be a TV in the far corner of the LR. We have this nifty coffee table that pops up and out for eating so that would work in front of a couch and would be right next to the kitchen.

Help me design a new kitchen

My wife and I have decided to make a life style change and move our permanent residence to Wisconsin. We're building a house (foundation was poured last week) but won't be able to move in until late June, 2014. The picture below is the generic kitchen on the plans but we are able to do anything...

Summer Corn Chowder with Scallions, Bacon & Potatoes

Courtesy of FineCooking.com - here Fran made the recipe (below) with the exceptions of 1) using three cobs instead of two in the mix, 2) added the juice of 1/2 lime, and 3) two cups of puree instead of one. 5 ears fresh corn 7 oz. scallions (about 20 medium) 3 slices bacon, cut into 1/2-inch...

    Fry Me Some Elk

There's a farmers' market about six blocks from my summer digs and this year a new vendor appeared after a three year wait for one of the fifty spots. They raise elk up in Merrill which is fifteen miles north and presently have a herd of forty. I haven't had Elk since my last Wyoming hunting...

    Big Red Grouper

Yesterday was the last day out on the Smokin II before we all head north for the summer. I caught this Red Grouper on dead bait (thread herring). We didn't have a scale on board but he was fat like a Tuna and over 30 pounds without doubt. The biggest I had caught previously was 20 pounds. Great...

Knife questions (for Buzz or anyone)

Caution with Sabatier. There have been many manufacturers using the Sab brand name over a long period of time due to lax registration laws in France. The two makers traceable to the original Sab family are K-Sabatier and Thiers Issard. Here are some Thiers-Issards of mine: The two larger...

My wife said "Fix that gutter downspout TODAY!"

Forwarded from Leni.... My wife said "Fix that gutter downspout TODAY!" So I invited the boys over. One brought his welder, the others brought beer. Took us about 4 hours, mostly for the beer, but we got the downspout fixed. Wife is still speechless... I'm certain not for much longer though.
