Dinner was excellent and had two son’s here to watch Game 7. The condiments are a mint yoghurt, harrrisa, and the discs are watermelon radish.

It's that time of year. Today was opening of filbert farm, Nancy stopped and got some then went to farm market and got me my annual stalk of Brussels sprouts. I'll do them up tomorrow. So many recipes I add bacon, now will have to try turkey bacon. 🥓

In the Puyallup valley there is a filbert farm which is the only one I know of locally not like there is in Oregon. Today was opening day for nuts and Nancy stopped and got 8 pounds. She’ll use them in her holiday biscotti and I’ll send 3 pounds to my bud in Iowa.

Love them and orange peel dipped in chocolate.

The flat bread looks rather plain without seasonings.

Nancy made Syrian flat bread to go with dinner. The flat bread is topped with zataar that a friend brought us from Israel.

This is on the menu for tonight. I’ll have acorn squash, as well.

November is my favorite month.

Peter played tuba and would practice in living room. I loved listening to him play but he was an orchestra talent.

Tonight I had Nancy’s leftover risotto and some brandied peaches for desert.

Tonight was a late supper at BarBistro after hospital visit to see our friend Ann. We had a cup of very good clam chowder, Nancy had the risotto with crab, and I had the rare Wagyu burger, and excellent as always.

I got a new crown put on a molar and went well. This afternoon we are going to visit our friend Ann in hospital then go out to eat. No clue where.

We may go out if I can find a decent place. All my son’s are going to Vegas.

We got that when we lived in Germany. The commissary carries several brands.

It was all good and these white brats from Stewart’s Meats are very firm. Dessert was chilled apple cranberry pie filling. The brats had Nancy’s home made mustard and German hot curry ketchup and had a nice after burn. The sauerkraut was Libby’s Bavarian Style kraut with caraway seeds. I added more.

I’m going to pan fry some white brats and heat up a can of sauerkraut with leftover German potato salade on the side.
