The bottom of my oblong rectangular one says it's a melamine "charger plate".
Also says not for microwave use.
As if it would fit in there

Ok here's what I got to show you.
The first one is like the melamine one I bought.
The second round ones are also charger plates.
I think they might be used under actual dinner plates to eat off of, because they're not made of China or ceramic. Basically just there for looks?

I found a use for the oblong melamine plate lol
Got it sitting under my candles to protect the surface of my table, when I light them that is.

HmmmI’ve got some antique Limoges plates, platters & chargers if anyone is interested. All hand painted, stamped and some signed by the artist.
