Other that minor discomfort the first day of surgery (it was manageable with some tylenol), it's really been surprisingly easy. The surgery is quick - I left the house at 5:45 am for a 6:15 check in, and was home by 9:30. Yes, you are awake, and talking if you want (I did), but you don't feel...

I made another salad - I really didn't want to cook! Can't drive until tomorrow, so Judy took me to the grocery store to pick up what I needed.

It feels sooooo much better today. Doc says its doing well, and wants to check it in 3 weeks. It's weird not wearing glasses. I've had them since I was 13.

I had my other eye done today (cataract). This time it's scratchy, achy, and runny - much more than the other eye was. I have an appointment with the doc in the morning. Hopefully, it's somewhat better then.

I used a few of the leftover shrimp for little tacos at lunchtime. Each taco had 1 shrimp! They were that big.

Shrimp grilled with a pineapple habenero baste. Glazed carrots and grilled asparagus. Those shrimp we SOOOOO big - U8's. I cooked 14 of them (they were getting pretty icy in the freezer so I needed to cook them before they got freezer burn), but we each only ate 2. The rest are for lunches...

Continuing on my cleaning/organizing binge. Today I started tackling the drawers & cabinets in my office! This will take till the end of the week.

Exciting day - I cleaned the refrigerator, which was long overdue. It's amazing what you find hiding in the back! In a couple days, I'll tackle the freezer.

We had friends over for my annual paella on the grill.
