Expensive cheese

Whole Foods Market is an upscale market that wraps up little packages of cheese ends or small pieces of cheeses that aren't moving. It gives you the chance to try different cheeses without going broke.

Today, as I was looking through the bin, I spotted a really small package of cheese that goes for $43/lb. Had to try it. It's delicious, but sheesh.

Looked up Herve Mons (an accomplished cheese artisan) and Gabietou. Yeah, it's special, but I'm only going to buy very small packages of it.

Have any of you tried expensive cheeses that you think are worth the price?

No, not really. I like smoked Gouda and good old aged Swiss. I used to buy my MIL 10 year aged white cheddar around the holidays and that was definitely a treat.
I found out my FIL loved Limburger cheese so that’s what I used to get for him. I never trusted him after I learned that.

Haven't seen Limberger in years - I'd love to get a box for my father.
