What are you eating this week Sunday August 26th - Saturday September 1st?

Sass Muffin

Coffee Queen ☕
NCT Patron
DIL made biscuits and gravy and scrambled eggs with salsa on mine and hot sauce on hers.
Lunch will be light, maybe cottage cheese and fruit.
Dinner will be something out on my break this evening.

I had my usual Brown Cow coffee yogurt for breakfast.
No clue what lunch will be.
I'm planning on making homemade yogurt and chicken soup today.
DD wants buttermilk waffles for dinner with the homemade lemon curd for dinner.
I'll probably have soup for dinner and maybe a half waffle for dessert.

Finished up the chicken soup I made the other day.
Tina went to a meeting at the church, and brought home a Mac-double with cheese, and fries.
Just had a rice pudding for dessert that Tinamommy made the other day.

A little birdie directed me to visit a downtown bakery/cafe for the individual quiche Florentine.
Glad I did.
Brunch is going to be that.
Fresh garden tomato on the side.

Slightly warmed, tho I do enjoy quiche cold or room temp.
Gonna get more tomatoes later as well.
I don't know what variety these are, they are from DIL mother's garden.
They are excellent!

Last Night's Baked Chicken Drummies with a Memphis Drizzle, Steamed Red Spuds, Stinky Beans, and the Salad, of course !

The Stinky Beans were supposed to be with Bacon Bits, but the Phone rang (Mom), and I ended up charring the Bacon...

That looks very,Very good Lucky.
Now I want chicken (and roast turkey, thanks to Peeps).
These tomatoes are Red Horizons.
She started them from seed.

I think I'll do mac and cheese for dinner, with French style green beans and more tomato salad.

Craig made dinner last night, a spatchcocked chicken on the grill with a pan underneath containing new potatoes (catches the chicken drippings to add flavor to potatoes) and a chayote squash, carrot, onion, bacon vege dish, which didn't do it for me at all.

Aimee doesn't feel like cooking and neither do I.
We're going to Bob Evans and try the herb roast chicken.
2 sides and biscuits as well.
Looks like this.

It was wonderful Lee.
Got mash n gravy and cole slaw too.
It's one of the menu items that is for limited time.

Grilled lamb burgers with store bought tzatziki (spectacular!), served with grilled homegrown Japanese eggplants and homegrown tomato puttanesca salad (http://www.netcookingtalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1558).

I don't know why I don't make lamb burgers more often. I will now, dammit! :readytoeat:

Had a lovely evening eating outdoors with my friends/neighbors last Saturday, before the weather turned Boston into a furnace again.

It's going to be breakfast for dinner.
Omelets, home fries and rye toast.
I have to work at 10pm.
I'll take snacks to get me through the night.

I think I've compiled everything for Peep's Sesame Noodles; maybe that's today... we'll see !

I have noticed that when I call dinner this early, it hardly ever happens...

Looks great Lee. Do you add anything to the lamb before you form the burger?

Not a thing, Peep.

I sprinkled the raw burgers with Adobo (garlic powder seasoning) and freshly ground black pepper before putting them on the grill.

MAN, were they good! The tzatziki topping works so well with ground lamb!

That is the way it should look.
Made one for Aimee, it turned out almost perfect.
It's all in the scrambling before fork flipping.

Breakfast was homemade plain Greek yogurt topped with homemade lemon curd.

Lunch was chicken soup I made last night.
Dinner is supposed to be beef stew but who knows. LOL

Wow, beautiful, Sass!

Thanks Lee.
I quite enjoyed making those.
Normally mine are just folded in half with filling like spinach and mushroom.
Found this in the way back machine.
7 years ago, my crappy camera days.
