Explain to me though, how can ice cream be "All Natural" and have NO "Added Milk"????

What the heck did they make this out of??????? :w00t:

Just checked the ingredients:

Water
Cheese
Sweet Whey Powder
Maltodextrin
Whey Protein Concentrate
Peanut Butter
Caramel Color
Guar Gum
Carrageenan

Whey is a component of whole milk, and last I checked, cheese is derived from milk. Not sure what the label is trying to say.

But……CHEESE in your ice cream???

Oh well, he seemed to like it, as did one of the cats. :yum:

It's killing me though......I used to eat ice cream out of little cups like that with a short wooden spoon/paddle when I was a kid!

I've come to the opinion that these treats are more for the human than the pet. Just makes us feel like we're giving them something......even though it's nowhere near the real thing! Human Psychology at it's finest!

:lol::lol:

Can't say I've ever seen ice cream for dogs, but I do remember the wooden paddle ice cream! It was such a treat! LOL!

That wooden paddle, scraping against your teeth, is worse than finger nails on the chalkboard for me!! *shiver*

Good ice cream though!

Oh no, you are absolutely right about that...the teeth never, ever, ever touch the teeth. UGH!!! Same with plastic spoons on styrofoam. Cannot handle it! :yuk:

Hey, you're a good dog "dad." Can't feed the dog something that isn't tasty! I also hesitate to admit that we have coffee and cookies every afternoon and share both with the two dogs...it's the high point of their day. They love their coffee!

I used to cook for Gretchen, in batches at a time.
It was a recipe from one of Dr. Pitcairn's books.
Over time she grew to dislike fresh food warmed in a microwave, 1/3 c at a time.
Now she really likes Chef Michaels from the grocery store, or IAMs mini chunks.
Once in a while, I'll buy a bag of Jack Links beef jerky just for her... because she's such a good girl.
Who wouldn't for this face?:heart:
.. I must say she is the most spoiled weenie dog in all of NW Ohio!

I tasted dog food!

:yum::yum::yum:

lol!!!

that's still no excuse for all of the butt sniffing, k.

i remember trying a milk bone dog biscuit and a gaines burger when i was a kid. the milk bones weren't bad, but i understood why my mom put some gravy or tomato sauce on my dog scooter's gaines burgers every day.

as far as spoiling pets goes, i often order extra french fries or a larger burger to share with my parrots. my moluccan cockatoo, beethoven, loves wendy's classic double cheeseburgers. he wolfs it down so fast, stuffing his crop, that it makes a big bulge on his chest. my grey, louie, loves wendy's fries.

i always know when they've been eating hot peppers too. your lips start to burn a few seconds after kissing them on their beaks, lol.

I got a 3 month old pup from the shelter last month. She is a shepherd, golden retriever mix, the color and fur of the golden and a shepherds head. Now at 4 1/2 months she is at 24 pounds and growing fast.

So far no real people treats unless you count the 1 Cheeto my wife gives her every night. When I drop something at lunch, she is quick to pick it up. I will have to find the doggy ice cream and let her try it.

I've been known to purchase entire roasted chickens or roasted turkey breasts for Max-i to snack on.

She gets 1/4t of butter on Saturday nights. She gets cold cuts when either Lou or I is making a sandwich.

It turns out she likes meatballs, too.

And, she treats catnip like it was crack.

So my dogs get dry mixed with some wet dog food.
With a bit of leftover meats scattered on top.
And some cheese.
And a spoonful of cat food.

Good thing they aren't spoiled!
I know this because so far I have resisted the Goddy Ice Cream, LOL!

I suppose I've seen it all now. Just watched a commercial for "The World's Best Cat Litter". It's made of corn and other things. Biodegradable, flushable, scoopable, etc.

First, they had several people sitting around a table smelling little jars of used litter to demonstrate the superior odor control.

Uh, NO!

Next, and this was the kicker, the two people pitching the litter each picked up a piece of the litter from a fresh box……..and……….ATE IT!

Yep, they ate kitty litter. :w00t:

That is some serious dedication to your job right there. That, or insanity! :yum:

Desmond and Jelly get what ever they want. LOL! If I'm eating it and they ask HOW CAN I SAY NO??? Dezzy is much more picky, LOVES ham but won't touch SPAM, LOVES tuna juice but won't eat tuna fish and doesn't like cheese at all. Jellybelly, she'll eat anything at anytime. Well, anything that is fattening and unhealthy :) She loves melted cheese, it's her favorite!

I really have to stop feeding them though. They both weigh 14 pounds and both their tummies wiggle and jiggle.

I'm gonna go with insanity - twice! First for the people smelling dirty cat litter, then for the ones who ate the stuff!!! :yum:

ugh I had forgot all about that you just made me squirm

my dogs really like cheese so I am sure they would like this too

my dog has devoured entire sticks of butter stolen from the counter...

I gave him half a pat of it last night and his eyes rolled back in his head as he licked it off my fingers

OMG! I found the commercial on Youtube. You MUST see this. It almost seems like a hoax, except that the cat litter is real!

But those are such cute, fuzzy wiggly, jiggly tummies, Lily.
Spoiling a pet is what we all love to do, I think because they love us so unconditionally-- and because we know they aren't often with us in this life as long as our 2-legged family members.:flowers:

i forgot to add that while our maine coon, hercules, and our new norwegian forest cat, mush, only eat cat food (although it's still being spoiled as dw puts out 4 cans of wet food twice a day, and there's a constant supply of 3 kinds of dry food), our chubbiest little furball, stinky, loves any protein that we have for dinner. if you don't share, she sort of sticks out her paw and gently touches/scratches your arm, over and over like those annoying touchy people, until you give her some.

last night she had some of my ribs, and then a little late night snack of prosciutto.
