What's cooking, Tuesday July 21, 2009?

Here's what we had for dinner - Lilylove's Garlic Shrimp & Tomatoes (I omitted the scallops and added more shrimp). It was delicious!!! :thumb:

This bowl went to my BIL, Seb, and was devoured in a matter of seconds. I think I liked it!

COOL!!! I"m glad you liked it! Yours sure is prettier than mine was.

I really have to work on making my food look good. :)

Dinner looks fantastic, Angel. I'll bet there are no left-overs.

Thanks! There shouldn't be any left-overs, but right now Seb & I are fighting hard not to eat it all because Nick isn't home yet. He should be home soon, and once he gets here I'm sure the rest of it will vanish!

Thanks...yeah it was mouth-watering! :a1:

I used to work in restaurants, so I learned a little bit about food presentation and "plating" dishes...but with how this turned out, there was no need to "pose" this dish. It spooned into the bowl beautifully.

Fisher made our dinner tonight - pizza! I used Vera's pizza dough recipe and then let Fish spread the dough out and then put all the toppings on and put it in the oven. I also let him decide when he thought it looked done.

I'm so proud.

whoooooooooooooo hoooooooooooooo looking good!!

hey there!! are you up late or early? i am STILL up!! we are still rainy which makes me ache. i saw parts of TX (college station got hammereds) got some rain, did you?

Still no rain. I heard about College Station getting tons of rain because DH was out that way for work, and he told me it was raining cats & dogs. I wish it would rain here...we desperately need it.

I'm up late. Rolled out of bed a little after 1pm, so I'm far from sleepy...yet. It's 2:18am now (according to my clock). Just bumming around until my eye-lids get heavy. Sorry to hear rain makes you ache...hope you can get some rest, soon.

:yum: Yeah I can see how multi-tasking, like that, can get a bit disorienting.

The only other forum I am a member of has absolutely nothing to do with cooking. It's a motorcycle forum...specifically, it's a forum for the type of motorcycle I have (Kawasaki Z400, or KZ400). DH bought me a 1977 KZ400 a little over a month ago...it doesn't run, but we're working on it. I also have never ridden a bike, so I need to take the beginner's course before I get to ride my bike. Needless to say, I have no problem running the risk of accidentally posting the wrong thing in the wrong forum.

Sounds deep, Peep...it's good places, like that, exist, but they make me so sad to see how many families have been effected by this.

Yes, I have 3 tats, too.

whooooo hoooooooooo tats!!

well the social forum is fun. when people lite candles and post on the trib site the families and friends feel good knowing that people are remembering the lost family member or friend. it's kind of a support system.
