I'll add a couple more: The Blue Door Pub in St Paul, MN and Gordie's Hi hat in Cloquet, MN. Both have been on Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives.

Yup thats the "Bob's" Big Boy place. I went to them way back when I was 19 years old!! Many years ago. All I remember was the food was good.
There is a Johnny Rockets around here but I have never been there. How was the food? It's 50's themed?

Marie Callender's? The same as the TV dinner type food you get in the freezer case? I am having browser probs (freezing up and closing down) so I don't want to click the links right now.

Remember the title character in the TV series Alice, and "Mel's Diner" where she worked? Well, it has been said that Lester's Diner, a fixture since the 1960s in Bryan, Ohio, was the model that the producers of the TV show used for "Mel's." :a1:

Went there long ago. Yes 50's theme. Undercover Boss aired recently, & the place looks pretty much the same. It was okay - mostly about the atmosphere.

Wait till your browser is working, & you can read the history about their food/products/bakery, etc. Mostly I like their pies. In the past the lines were so long (lunchtime), I went elsewhere.

ETA: We used to go to Chris & Pitts (sp), but don't think they're around anymore.

My fave is Burger King's regular burger, because it's broiled, with mustard, ketchup and pickles only. A couple times a year, I go all out and get their A1 Steakburger, with cheese, bacon and A1 steak sauce. A secret pleasure is the very occasional McDonald's quarter pounder without cheese or onions.

How many onces is that cup of coffee?

Reminds me of the monster cups of coffee the Glimore girls drank!

It's Lester's famous 14 oz, Peeps.

The two Bobs Big Boy's that I'm thinking of are the ones that were on Van Nuys Blvd and Sherman Way at Balboa. The Van Nuys one had the drive in and Saturday night was cruise night. I had a 57 Chevy convertible need I say more?
