It could be. My dough hook blade looks more like the white one with the shorter cap like the other.
It didn't dawn on me.
It was the Cuisinart DLC-7Pro I had that had the dough blade. Looked almost similar to the one for the K'Aid machine.
Here's a pic of my very old Robot Coupe Food Processor.

It bares a very striking resemblence to the very first small Cuisinart look-alike model because back in the very early '70's Cuisinart FP's were literally made by Robot Coupe, a co in France, until
Mine is the Cuisinart DLC-10S Pro Classic 7 cup which all the blades also work in the 11 qt version.

Surprisingly enough, it still works. Just tried it out. I used it when I worked for a catering co's account to chop, shred ansd slice veggies for the salad bar a little over 20 years ago.
It bares a very striking resemblence to the very first small Cuisinart look-alike model because back in the very early '70's Cuisinart FP's were literally made by Robot Coupe, a co in France, until an entrapuer named Carl something-or-other had bought out Cuisinart and newer models were introduced.
Cuisinart is now owned by ConAir.
That was Carl Sonnineheimer [sp].
But that isn't a Robot Coupe!
These are Robot Coupes!
No, the Cuisinart had the exact same shape as the Robot Coupe when it was introduced around '73. Yes, I know.
The machine in your bottom pic DOES look like R2D2. Those 2 must cost a pretty penny!
I've used a model quite similar to the bottom one when I worked for a catering co..
OMG! You truly are the Queen of the Bargain! $50 is a steal!BTW: A friend of mine who sells used restaurant supplies sold me the R2D2 with the chute, knife, and some disks for only $50!
I was teasing you paraphrasing from the movie Crocodile Dundee. Remember the line as the thug brought out a switchblade knife on Crocodile Dundee?
"That's not a knife...........[as Crocodile Dundee brings out his huge bowie knife]......."this is a knife!"
BTW: A friend of mine who sells used restaurant supplies sold me the R2D2 with the chute, knife, and some disks for only $50!
And then, there's the Oster Kitchen Center. This one looks pretty much like the one that I had.
