Not my garden, but this is the activity departments garden where I work.
They do this every year.
Here is my precious little Rodney aka (my nickname for him, of course) Rodney Whipple/Rodney Whippersnapper.
He was a farmer all his life and was thrilled to pick some peppers! ❤️☺️

Look at that sweet happy smile!

Lee
Lee, he takes them to the kitchen, then the ladies in dietary use them in meals for the residents.
Not just him, we have lots of our residents who enjoy just sitting by the garden every day to watch the growth progress.
Any excess by the end of the season goes into the break room for us employees.
Last year I got a few of Zac's tomatoes before they all were taken 🍅

Sitting in the humid shade with a beer, gazing on the patio section of my garden. Listening to Spotify with my cat. Hummingbirds are chasing each other around the yard, and goldfinches are chirping up a storm!

Yea Lee- The flowers close to the crop helps so much.
I have a chair next to my pepper plants; it was enjoyable
watching th Bumblebee's Polinating the pepper flowers.
next year. I 'm going to plant way more flowers.
My new landlord chopped down all my Fruit Tree's.
I miss my hummingbirds. I'll figure it out.

Dan, a hummingbird feeder is a great thing, as long as you change the nectar every 3 or 4 days when it's hot outside. In addition, I buy hanging plants that they love: Firecracker Plant (Vermillionaire) is their favorite, but they also like Lantana and Calibrachoa. I plant seeds of Scarlet Runner Beans in the ground - easy to grow and you can harvest the dried bean seeds to soak, cook and eat.

Thanks Lee,
I have a giganic Lavender Bush in my front yard. In the back yard, I left a lot of
Dandelions. Next year, I'm going to work on a lot of Plants, loved by
Butterfly's, Hummingbirds and Bee's.
This i the 1st year no Hummingbirds. New Landlord cut down all my beautiful
fruit tree's. I had 3 Hummingbird Feeders. I changed the water twice a week.
Your flowers are gorgeous. Thanks Lee.

That's a bummer about the trees, Dan! I see shepherd's hooks in your future! :bounce:

I planted a small patch of wild flower seeds in the ground, not pots. So cool to see what blooms. White alyssum, blue batchelor buttons, yellow coreopsis, pink-lavender Love Lies Bleeding. Haven't identified the bright pink flower in the middle yet.
