I was the Global Facilities Manager for Dirt Devil for 12 years. I loved viewing the commercials for Europe and the UK because nobody over there read anything into the commercials that wasn't there, and just took them for their intended humor. In the US we have a contingent of people who read things into commercials that was never intended to be there, and before you know it, a funny commercial is gone. Some people take themself waaaaaaaaaaaaay too seriously in this country. The Brits used to say there were glad all the goody two-shoes went to the States, and were now our thorn in the side. I have to agree.
