My Ace hardware store has a ton of those great squirrel-proof bird feeders on sale for $19.99. Anyone want one? 
We are too urban and too international to sell all the bird feeders we get!
Evidently, feeding local birds is not a habit shared by all cultures.

are the same? these are Woodstream - all metal everything except the plastic "windows" in the front.
typically the 'trip tray' models go for $60 and up - so I never invested in one - I've tossed a lot of money in the 'squirrel proof feeder' trashcan....
found these at Ace for $19.99 - bought one. this year's squirrel crop is huge - I counted 11 the other day. they were raiding my old feeders at $20/week so I figured the $19.99 was a good gamble. they work* - so I went and bought another....
the back one is loaded with peanut hearts. talk about yer' really unhappy squirrels....
they work* - under normal circumstances. with the ice on the roof, that gave the squirrel someplace to toe hold.... knocked off the ice, p.o.'d the squirrels....
