I wasn't logged in when I connected yesterday, and again today ... of course I couldn't remember my password from forever ago... and the "Keep Me Logged In" button wasn't working either ...
When that happens to me my anti virus has cleaned cookies. It is not on the server side. Your login is remembered on the device you connect with, not by the server with the forums.
