mild--60's they say! When I get out of work it should be in the low fifties!!!:dizzy::dizzy::dizzy:
have a good day all!

I am planning on some leftover pot roast. It was really really good. I ate all the onions & mushrooms lol. some gravy & lots of beef is left.

I will heat that & make cauliflower & some other low carb veggie.

No tators or carrots for me. :readytoeat:

Cyn you sould bring out the slow cooker or get one if you don't one, you can make so much in it. that way when you get home, cold & wore out, dinner is ready.. :chef:

Brats and sauerkraut here. I can't wait. :D

oh how I love this..:encore:

Kraut is great to lower your Blood G, its a great food for me. Cabbage , cole slaw, steamed, fried, rolled , lol any way is great in my book. I made some the other night with loin chops & pears.

DH will be having leftover roast beef, mashed potatoes, gravy and peas and since I've now graduated to "foods you can cut with the side of a fork", I think I'll make some multigrain granola pancakes for me.

Well, we're hoping to make the Library of Congress free showing of the film noir classic "Laura" tonight, so I picked up some crusty rolls & cold cuts (Mesquite-Smoked turkey breast, turkey ham, American & Swiss cheeses) so we can have a quick sandwich before leaving. Normally by the time the weekday films end it's too late to dine out afterwards.

Stir fried shrimp, bok choy and shiitake mushrooms in a garlic ginger butter sauce,
over jasmine rice. With egg rolls.

Breezy---wow! watching Laura!!! I absolutely love classic movies!! from the golden age!!! wow--You are so lucky...:flowers: :applause:

Going to our favorite place here in town. Salsa made at the table.. cute Mexican waiters, yummy yummy garlic shrimp or Tequlia shrimp, good cheap drinks! :) A romantic night for two.... we're being rude and going alone all by ourselves! :) :) :)

Why if that was Me....I would make those salami sandwiches and bring them to the movie house, and eat while watching the picture show!

Well!!.... Mommy "T" is on her way back home from South Jersey.. It's a three hour trip, and I have her favorite..(Meatloaf) in the oven baking already!

It surely smell great so far...

DD is over, and leaf blowing, and pulling the broken tree branches into the wooded area.
Gosh, she's a good kid. Er' I mean Young Lady. hahaha
when I look at her...I see that little girl figure.
I even call her Baby..and she doesn't think a hoot about that. She Is The Baby! hahahahahahaha

No can do. The wonderful folks at the Library of Congress who host these lovely movies 3 times a week have a beautiful faux Art Deco theatre set up, & there's absolutely no food or drink allowed. I don't blame them.

I really liked that movie. Haven't seen it in years. They don't make 'em like that or write dialogue like that anymore.

Waldo Lydecker: [narrating off screen] "I shall never forget the weekend Laura died. A silver sun burned through the sky like a huge magnifying glass. It was the hottest Sunday in my recollection. I felt as if I were the only human being left in New York. For with Laura's horrible death, I was alone. I, Waldo Lydecker, was the only one who really knew her, and I had just begun to write Laura's story when another of those detectives came to see me. I had him wait. I could watch him through the half-open door.

Lol - yup, you nailed it! We did make the film (sometimes hubby gets home too late from work), & it was great. They had an excellent print - no graininess or anything. My only disappointment was that it was the version that had about 2 minutes of scenes cut. The long original version has the scenes where "Waldo" (Clifton Webb) is giving Laura's history to "Det. Mark McPherson" Dana Andrews & mentions how he molded her by selecting her clothes, hairstyle, etc., etc. That's cut out of the shorter version. From what I was told by another film buff, apparently they made the shorter version for venues where, because of the time the film came out, they didn't want to show so much oppulence, or something along those lines.

The movie is out on dvd in both regular & special-package versions. Definitely worth having.
