Good stuff Buzz.
A good friend used to take a john boat out on midnight runs along the Ohio River bank. He'd find the turtle holes at the edge of the waterline and pull em out by their tail just like that. In a john boat with one other guy with a light. They'd be lucky not to fall in. The turtles were not that big but we were impressed just the same. He was a wild man too (like the guy in the video)
I had guys that worked for me and they noodled every summer. I preferred to set out jugs baited with chicken gizzards. On more than one occasion, a snapper chewed through 100# test steel leaders. They are one mean critter.
