you to critique food- should u be straightforward~

i blatantly said to my friend that i could give her a fully truthful critique, or a gentle 1 before she got me to test her food. she said to fully critique that food (was very delicious- 1 element could have used slight changes.) i saw her get a kinda when i very gently, tactfully said so.
usually, being a culinary person w/ a title rocks; other times, it stings, in a way. how would/have yinz dealt w/ being that taste-testing person~ thanx.

I would have dealt with it just the way you did .... saying it was very delicious, but I would have done such and such differently.

thanx, lee~ i'm now glad that i took that approach. i promised to bring her a better tomato than she was snacking on, too. another challenge. i'm taking fancy s/p grinders so that she can season them properly.
