DD asked if I wanted to go out for lunch. We went to Longhorn and I treated myself to a frozen watermelon Rita. YUM! We shared a french onion soup. I had a strip steak (medium rare), and a baked potato. L/O steak for snack or dinner.

That mackerel pasta looks amazing!!
It all does 😋
You know, this is the third recipe I've made and all were great. The variety of tinned mackerel I made was not as great as I am sure are other varieties. I shouldn't be surprised as it was pretty cheap. I simply need to sift through brands to find which I prefer. This one had many broken filets. I would prefer to find the filets more intact, but this dish was still delicious. I have found a superb brand of sardines, which was recommended by someone on another forum.

I need to get on that tinned fish book. To much going on here evenings. Your dish looks amazing.
Johnny, these recipes take very little time once you gather the ingredients. Each one has taken me about 30 minutes the first time I've made it. The second time, they are on the table within five minutes of the pasta being finished. One recipe took me longer to poach the egg than it did to make the dish.

I'm thrilled to have bought it, and say, "Thanks, Nancy" each time I use it!
