I'm making Shrimp Po' Boys and Mac Salad. Salad is already in the fridge. It is a warm day here in the PNW...70F! We're supposed to go back to rain tomorrow.

We had peonies with caramelized onions, sour cream, and bacon.

I'm not cooking.

We are going to a Luau, complete with a whole pig, hula dancers, fire dancers, tiki umbrellas, Aloaha Sharks band, leis, Mai Tais, Pina Coladas, drink umbrellas, and 400 of my neighbors. The pig is due to arrive in an hour, and the party starts at 6:00.

Our HOA is throwing a party! (I'm the lead on the social committee) I'll try to remember to take pictures.

Last night’s fillet mignon. Today I re read the menu and saw it had fresh horseradish which I love. I never noticed it and was the white stuff on top the fillet. I didn’t eat the asparagus.

Recently we were out to dinner and liver & onions were on the menu at nearly $25/plate. My thoughts were "it would not be as good as mine" and "I am not paying $25/plate for substandard liver & onions."

So tonight, liver & onions in gravy, mashed potatoes, and table-side DIY applesauce.

We went to Applebee's.
I got the riblets platter with coleslaw and fries, the girls got burgers and fries.
I nearly spent the night, but decided to get my butt home.

No, they were frozen. I've not been very ambitious lately, not that I've ever made them from scratch. One day, maybe.

My husband likes horseradish and blue cheese on his steak. He makes a creamy sauce using both.
