What's On The Plates Easter 🌷✝️ Sunday April 5 - Saturday April 11 2026

I'm making Shrimp Po' Boys and Mac Salad. Salad is already in the fridge. It is a warm day here in the PNW...70F! We're supposed to go back to rain tomorrow.

I'm not cooking.

We are going to a Luau, complete with a whole pig, hula dancers, fire dancers, tiki umbrellas, Aloaha Sharks band, leis, Mai Tais, Pina Coladas, drink umbrellas, and 400 of my neighbors. The pig is due to arrive in an hour, and the party starts at 6:00.

Our HOA is throwing a party! (I'm the lead on the social committee) I'll try to remember to take pictures.

Recently we were out to dinner and liver & onions were on the menu at nearly $25/plate. My thoughts were "it would not be as good as mine" and "I am not paying $25/plate for substandard liver & onions."

So tonight, liver & onions in gravy, mashed potatoes, and table-side DIY applesauce.
