I baked the potatoes instead of boiling them and used wasabi paste instead of the powder and water. They definitely had a punch.

Fresh garlic and shallots, onion, ground rainbow peppercorns, vegetable and olive oil blend, my house blend all purpose seasoning, red wine vinegar and soy sauce.

Not my mama's chicken and dumplings! She used Campbell's soup and Pillsbury pop open can biscuits for the dumplings. The dogs were unhappy, because we licked our own plates.

Tonight was Trader Joe’s arctic cod, baked Idaho russets with Montreal Seasonings, and nuked cauliflower. I added the condiments after the photo. The cod may not look like much but it was very good.

Thank you. They are buttermilk dumplings. I modified my buttermilk biscuit recipe just a bit to make dumplings.

I make about 1/3 of this for 2 of us, but we're not big eaters, and I don't like a lot of leftovers. This would feed about 6 people for the whole batch. I use all s/b chicken thighs, because it's easier than dealing with the bones later, although you might get more richness if you keep them...

Sweet Hot pickles & peppers chips on the side. A cup of Lipton chicken soup.
Two cookies, for dessert with a coffee.
