I got asked to come in to work this morning, so I did.
Went to the thai place for dinner, then shopped for some stuff for the apartment and bought a geranium for the front porch.

Shrimp Alfredo with Color , Garlic Brioche Roll..............

Half of a roasted, skinned red bell pepper stuffed with the trinity, mirliton, bread crumbs, etc, covered with a shrimp and crab butter sauce. Based on a Paul Prudhomme recipe. Not healthy in any way whatsoever, 8 Tbsp butter and 1/4 cup heavy cream for 2 servings. At least there were lots of veges involved.

I had planned on honey garlic pork chops. But a neighbor dropped in just as I was about to start dinner. We opened some beers and some wine, and she didn't leave until 8:45. Waaaaay too late to start cooking. So I just grilled a couple hot dogs.

It was ZZZZzzzzzzapp.... Pow!.... Fizzzzzz...... OH NOoooo!
Power Outage. The whole area, and over to ShopRite in Mansfield where Tina was off to get something to cook. Cops directing traffic.... the whole works. 2:00 PM .... till ... 6:30 PM.
Found pizza in a baggie from the other night; so we pan fried that.
Neighbor got the generator hooked up to my oxygen machine so I could breath.

I'm making brats today, Johnsonville garlic ones- with a quinoa/rice blend and perhaps roasted cauliflower.
That's the plan anyway. ??

That changed this minute. The mrs made turkey salad so will have sandwiches and leftover turkey supreme.

Grilled Ham Steak , Mustard Aoli, Mashed Baby Reds with Creamed Corn, Roasted Carrots.........

This quinoa and rice blend is a new to me product. It's very good once you season it with a little butter and salt.

Oven roasted chile relleno with Chipotle asado sauce. Vegetarian with egg.

Roasted Chicken. Peas, and carrots. Potatoes roasted. A garden salad for starters.

I made the pork chops that I didn’t make last night, in a hot honey garlic sauce. I really want that sauce on some wings.

Busy afternoon in store.
Might clean the fridge of leftovers or order take out.

How did this turn out? I never ordered this but our friend Ann did once, didn’t like it, and gave it to me which I liked. She likes her meat well done and lean and didn’t know better.

Nothing special tonight. Leftover cabbage stew for the lady, and I guess a griddled cheese for me.
Usually it's pizza on Fridays, but we are all pizza out from the other day.

How did this turn out? I never ordered this but our friend Ann did once, didn’t like it, and gave it to me which I liked. She likes her meat well done and lean and didn’t know better.

Plans changed last night as it was still a bit frozen so we are trying this tonight. I will report back!

Gumbo z'herbes with andouille. I found a bag of this in the bottom of the deep freezer. Didn't take a pic. Corn muffins with corn kernels in them to go with. ​

My sweetie said it was the best steak she ever had. Buttery, tender and melts in your mouth. No blubbery stuff. We did a pan sear in SS without any fat. It’s not cheap but if you love red meat....
