We never ate white asparagus when we lived in Germany.
I’ll have to try it sometime.

I pan fried some cheese kielbasa from Costco and had two
kinds of sauerkraut.

We had our Corned beef on Monday.
We always use just beer to boil / simmer on the stovetop. Any beer....Budweiser was used this time.

Today, it will be Tina's Chicken soup with noodles, and a small top round roast which is
at a simmer in a small cast iron pot........................ Huh!...and I'm trying to follow a diet! YEA RIGHT!@#%&!

Great news, Peep!

I made corned beef and cabbage for the first time, braised in the oven. It might be sacrilege in New England, but it came out well! More tender and juicy and less shrinkage. In a beer/water braising liquid.

Will do it this way all the time now!

I had my Annual CT Scan today- Looking for Cancer &
I have small aneurysm they been watching. VA Doctor
called me on the phone. To tell me I am Cancer Free.
& My Aneurysm has not grown It has been 5 years since
I had my operation.
DAY LATE- Corned Beef, taters, carrots Tonight.
