I’ll have to try it sometime.

I pan fried some cheese kielbasa from Costco and had two
kinds of sauerkraut.

This just went on the hob. I used Allrecipes.com recipe but added the whole beer. What can it hurt?

We had our Corned beef on Monday.
We always use just beer to boil / simmer on the stovetop. Any beer....Budweiser was used this time.

Today, it will be Tina's Chicken soup with noodles, and a small top round roast which is
at a simmer in a small cast iron pot........................ Huh!...and I'm trying to follow a diet! YEA RIGHT!@#%&!

Got my test results from Doc. Lost weight, A1C down, kidneys and liver good and all others are well under control.
We ordered from Jersey Mike's tonight. I have a corned beef and cabbage. Not sure when I will make it.

Great news, Peep!

I made corned beef and cabbage for the first time, braised in the oven. It might be sacrilege in New England, but it came out well! More tender and juicy and less shrinkage. In a beer/water braising liquid.

Will do it this way all the time now!

Ours was a very strong cabbage. Also, Carrots could be chewed, and we could not even tell what it was. NO taste.

We just got a fresh bag of carrots from WinCo a few days ago and were quite good, as were the potatoes. The onions were tough and only ate a bit of them.

Although today is National Sloppy Joe we will be having Reuben’s tonight.

I had my Annual CT Scan today- Looking for Cancer &
I have small aneurysm they been watching. VA Doctor
called me on the phone. To tell me I am Cancer Free.
& My Aneurysm has not grown It has been 5 years since
I had my operation.
