What's For Dinner - Sunday May 3rd - Saturday May 9th 2026

Oh my, I just googled it and it's a bit beyond my paygrade, lol. I would eat it on a charcuterie board on a special occasion, maybe. I buy Adams Reserve white sharp cheddar which is about $8 a pound.

I think you can certainly sub out the cheese for one you prefer...and it should be noted that WSU sells 2 versions of Cougar Gold. The new stuff and the aged for 5 years stuff. The aged is a lot more money!

I'll be making the steak lettuce wraps for dinner.
Pretty good!

Wound up having a salad of lettuce and tomatoes, and onions, with a surprise of chunks of cheese. Now I was looking for a snack, and I saw a 1/2 stick of pepperoni a week ago, and I figured I would make a pepperoni and egg fried up nice and crispy.... But someone moved it in the fridge from where I had last seen it. "That Makes Me Mad!" as Droopy the Dog would say....

Did they move it to their stomach?

I had bought a rotisserie chicken on sale for $4.99 and I took most of the breast meat off it and put it in a container, then put the legs, thighs, wings, and carcass in the crockpot. Then deboned it. I made a creamy chicken and broccoli soup with carrot, onion, and celery. I used a smoked salt to finish. It's cool here in NE Ohio tonight, so this was a comfort.

We are firm on buying Sugardale Bacon from N East Ohio. Weis Markets is the only one that Carries that brand.

Supper will be a hungry man Swansons TV dinner. Salisbury Steak. Tina is frying Potato pancakes as a prelude to that TV dinner.
Jimmy, Chief supermarket used to carry Sugardale bacon, but I've not seen it in a long time.
I believe Chief is also Ray's market in other parts of Ohio - but I could be wrong.
