Today will either be shrimp curry with naan, or air fried cubed salmon in soy/garlic/ginger sauce. Either will include jasmine rice.

Making tacos tonight. We just had them a couple of weeks ago, but we both love them, so why not!!

Brunch was a grilled American and Swiss cheese sandwich and a cup of pineapple juice. No clue what's for dinner.

I went with the salmon.
Delicious, but the sauce recipe I used was too salty because I didn't buy low-sodium soy sauce. It's a good thing I tasted it first.
I used just enough for a slight glaze.
Sliced up a cucumber and threw that in too.

The graduation party was huge and stayed long enough to meet a few of Jaden’s, the boy that mows my yard, relatives and ate supper. It was an open air house and a bit warm. I never knew they had a in ground swimming pool! We had spaghetti, ceasar salad, garlic bread, and one cup cake.

I have some Nestle Drumstick cones in the freezer. I'll have one while I'm watching the tube later.

Just shy of 100F here today... Needless to say, I didn't leave the house today Instead, I made ice cream. Salted Caramel...for later. Dinner will be tacos and rice. I'm trying something new with tacos. Chicken, seasoned with Copycat Taco Bell Cantina Chicken Seasoning. The tacos will be soft tacos using flour tortillas. The rice is my go-to "Restaurant" Mexican Rice. Then....ice cream!!

I really needed bacon grease, so fried up a heap of bacon. We had breakfast for dinner with eggs, bacon, hash browns and toast with strawberry jelly.

Waiting for the severe storm the weather station is predicting. Our Grand Daughter and her 4 kids are coming for supper for a meat sauce and spaghetti ....

Panini made with ciabotta bread. I get these packs of meat/cheese from Aldis. Open the bread, smear on some kind of tomato/pizza sauce, layer the meats. This packet has pepperoni, provolone cheese and capicola. It has enough for four sandwiches. I don't have a proper panini press but I have a cast iron griddle pan and use a bacon press to smoosh it. I like raw onions added.

The other kind of trio meat they have is salami, pepperoni, and mozzarella. Same basic procedure. They are really good and come together fast.

93° here today and surrounded by wildfire, so not really wanting to heat up the house. I put some RealGood Chicken nuggets in the breville oven and cauliflower rice with broccoli and cheese sauce in the microwave lol

Another hot one here too. Just shy of 100F. Ughhh! We're having steamed artichokes and shrimp cocktail...and that's it. Unless we're up for a bowl of the caramel ice cream before bedtime...

The heat wave is over. I read Cliff Mass’ report on what caused it, an upper atmosphere disturbance due to high pressure. It was an interesting read. Anyway, it got down to 58°F, had my bedroom window open, and cooled off nicely. I’m tired of freezer meals and will grill burgers tonight. I’ll stop by commissary for a nice tomato and sweet onion. I have no clue about a side, maybe a salade.

I steamed an ear of corn too and cut it off the cob this time.
I really like air fried squash and zucchini.

I just made a gin and tonic - we had a Costco boxed frozen pizza in freezer. She got it out for tonight and there were two huge square pizzas in the box.. Looks like we will be eating pizza or a few days. Burgers tomorrow? Lovely day here.
