Whats Everyone Drinking Tonight!?!?

High West coffee was a bold supposedly medium roast, strong but good. I got two of their enamel tin cups in the gift shop. I’ve got 4 now, much to Nancy’s dismay. They asked if I wanted a cocktail with lunch but I quit day drinking, especially at altitude.

This is their ceramic cup. I bought two of their new enamel cups which gives me 4, much to Nancy’s dismay.

I saved 2 oz. of beef consumme from a recipe I made yesterday. Saved to make this Bloody Bull.

Good, but I remember it being thicker when I had them in Bermuda.

Ingredients

  • 2 ounces vodka
  • 2 ounces prepared beef bouillon
  • 2 ounces tomato juice
  • 1/2 ounce lemon juice, freshly squeezed
  • 3 dashes Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 dashes Tabasco sauce
  • 1 pinch kosher salt
  • 1 pinch coarsely ground black pepper
  • Garnish: lemon wedge
Steps

  1. Add the vodka, beef bouillon, tomato juice, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, Tabasco sauce, salt and pepper into a shaker with ice and roll the shaker back and forth until the ingredients are well-mixed.
  2. Strain into a Collins glass over fresh ice.
