Fathers Day 2013 the kids came over and cooked everything.... It was great. I just lighted the grill, so the Girls could cook the skirt steaks.

DD made sausage and peppers and potatoes....DIL made parsely potatoes and asparagus.

We had a Fudgy The Whale From Carvelle ice cream store that DD had to drive 29 miles to get. It's the only close Carvelle store around. LOL
Then we had a frozen ORIO Cake. Strawberries and Blueberries.

What's Cooking Sun. 06/16/ to Sat. 06/22/2013

I guess I'm leading off this week, in spite of not making this meal. It was an effort by DW & DW, and I just enjoyed it. Pork tenderloins slow roasted in the crock pot, roasted potatoes, sweet corn and salad from the garden. Dessert was Dutch Apple pie with vanilla bean ice cream.

Looks like the moderators will have to weld the two starter posts together. I started off on one too! ..... We must have pushed the submit button near the same time. I looked and said, Oh! Sh**.
I gotta start a new thread because I didn't see your posted it already. LOL haaaaaaa

Done -

I was trying to decide on TIG or MIG when I realized how late it was.

I stuck it together with some elmers. Go easy with the thread until it has had time to dry. :tiphat:

I try to stay away from duct tape for temporary repairs. It leaves a lot of glue residue when peeled off. Then it takes a bunch of goo-gone to clean it up.

Last night we grilled – steaks, potatoes, pineapple and I made a green salad. Tonite it’s mac and cheese and I’m not sure about the rest of the week. Maybe even hotdogs if I get desperate !

You're not supposed to peel it off. You're supposed to add another layer :yum:.

I've got some fresh mustard greens for tonight but haven't decided on the rest.

I dint know that!!

No wonder why Poor Tina has a hard time getting out of the car seat! hahahahaha

One good thing though......It "Pulls out the wedgie when you get up off the seat!"

I'm going to saute some chicken breast tonight and make them into a chicken sandwich with lettuce, tomato & mayo on rye bread. BBQ chips and pickle on the side.

Shrimp (breaded frozen ) heated in the toaster oven.... No Like!

A huge B L T C O on a kaiser roll. Bacon / lettuce / tomato / cheese / and onion.....
I had all I could do to keep the sandwich together as I pushed my face into the monsterous pile, and the mayo was dripping all over the place.

Taking a photo with one hand of what's in the other hand!

Good foodie behavior!

hahahahahaha.... and not 1 (one) drop of that Mayo was Wasted.

A tomato seed fell in the dish, and I even blotted that up and ate it!

I leave no evidence when I eat!

I could go for a BLTCO right now! I like heavy on the mayo too .

Get some raw shrimp and try that Louisiana Fish Fry, Jimmy. I can just about ga-rohn-tee that you'll like it.

Dinner last night - salmon grilled on the George Foreman and Mango Avocado Salsa, grilled asparagus still cooking:

Nice Ribs Joe!

That's the way I do them. In the oven Low and Slow.

Tina says,"How come you don't do them on the grill?".... I said,"I'll put them on the grill, and you can watch them and adjust the temperature while YOU bake yourself!"

I remember I used to par boil the ribs first ( Old Wives Tale to Do That); I think it was a Pennsylvania Thing with pork cooking!

Mom used to say,"You Gotta cook pork real good, or you'll get Worms in your Coolie!"

Made Philly Cheese Steaks wit Onions and Peppers Fried.

Lunch...you can see I just threw a couple lumps of liverwurst and a medium vidallia onion and a wad of mayo in a bun.

If I eat wurst with no onion, then it's mustard. Weird huh?
Yes!

Then for supper...hahahahaha I made Tina and me a Pita (wholewheat) pizza. Diced tomatoes and cheese with a little spices, and hELLOooooooo It was not good.
Tina got some kind of chicken cheese kit with seasoned crumbs on one side, and the cheese on the other. I used the cheese.
Tasted like Chef BoyArDee pizza kit pizza with sawdust cheese. Yuck!!!

Been real busy gardening and catching up on yard work. Had some fried tilapia and baked potatoes last night. Bought a cheap camera yesterday and once I figure out the settings(grrrr) will be able to take pics again. Picked up tomatoes and sweet peppers for kabobs this weekend and bought a 3 lb. box of bacon for breakfast and BLT's. Finally have some flowers on the bigger tomato plants and onions look great. Peas and early corn are coming but the whole garden is in slow mode this year. The roller coaster weather is making everybody's gardens way behind. The good news is we have peaches and a few pears on the new fruit trees!

I've got some pork tenderloin, so I'm thinking either pork fried rice or pork chow mein...green beans on the side.

Nathans Hota Doga's. Baked beans, rice, and sliced tomatoes with olive oil; garlic and oregano.
Maybe an ice cream sandwich later for dessert.

Pizza – hub and my pizza (the girls had less stuff on theirs) - Boboli thin crust topped with plain tomato sauce with oregano, fresh basil, all-purpose seasoning (my blend), ground red pepper flakes, Trader Joe’s garlic salt grinder, evoo, fresh mushrooms, onions, fresh garlic, black olives, pepperoni matchsticks, fresh grated romano and parmesan cheeses, grated cheddar cheese and mozzarella. Bake on a pizza stone @ 550°F for 3 minutes.

Grilled some cubed steaks and neighbor brought a big bowl of potato salad. She has an egg allergy so it was very plain but not so high calorie.

We ate on the patio for the first time this year and I totally forgot about my camera.:D
