Take out today from Hong Kong Palace....

It's gonna be humid and hot, so we are not cooking if we can help it.

I've been reading some reviews on the same recipe.
I won't be baking them.
I'll prepare them stove top, then simmer in the brown sugar, soy and butter.
I don't use margarine.

These chops came out fabulous.
Nice and tender.
I threw some freezer vegs together to roast in the oven for a side.
I'll be making these again.

Amazing peeps..... all looks great!
Annnnd..... I bought Tina a wok for her birthday gift.
Poor thing made stir fry the other night, and could not lift the lodge cast iron pan she cooked in, so I bought her a hammered steel wok.
It's on way from the shipping store. We are getting ideas for what to cook in it.

I have a technique that I use when I eat shrimp especially; and that is, I take the tips of the tines of the fork, and press them through the shrimp, to widen and fluff the succulent meat, that way, when I dunk the schimp into the melted butter; it absorbs the butter like a sponge.

Of coarse, I get dagger eyes now that I'm supposed to be watching fats and etc. Like today, I had 2- 4 inch pancakes, and Tina gave me one ( 1 ) pat of butter. ????? what the heck is a pat of butter for two pancakes ????

I'm going to have another one of those gorgeous chops, with waffle fries- and I thought about making some deviled eggs too.

I just made egg salad, tuna salad and macaroni salad for lunches.

I'm not sure what dinner will be but I took out lamb loin chops. But things change quickly around here.

Dinner was lamb chops braised in chicken broth, fresh garlic and lemon juice. Side was steamed white corn off the cob.

I'm going food shopping in a bit.

DD requested Cornish hens which are on sale. So dinner may be roasted hens and stuffing. Sides TBDL.

.a couple of mistakes that even I could recognize...
Onion to Ground Beef ratio - too much Onion
Garlic Powder to Ground Beef Ratio - Too light on the G>P>
Sass gave the the correct time & temp. so no problem there....


Meat Loaf, Roasted Yukons seasoned with Paprika and Garlic Powder, S & P,
Steamed Sprouts & Boiled Radishes, Salad w/ Catalina French Dressing....

I do the same thing with meatloaf.
The onions are very visible from start to finish.
Looks great. The Warden is smiling.
