Tonight we will be having that squash and black bean enchilada dish we didn’t fix last night as Peter didn’t come for supper. Our friends Ann and Andy will be here. I’d love a meat of some kind but not in charge. There will be wine.

Yesterday was a sirloin steak grilled late and only because the wind stopped. WE DID have a disappointed day after hearing a loud crash, and finding our brand new deck umbrella was on the roof of the house. Luckily, it flew back off the roof onto the ground, and we were able to set it in a safe area. It looks like I have to fix only one metal rib.
Tina was up early and made manicotti all ready to pop into the oven when the kids get here. I made a fresh tomato salad, and we have a banana bread for dessert .

My breakfast dinner will be basted eggs, toasted bagel with butter and fig jam and avocado.

Judy is dog sitting for a friend of ours this evening, so dinner plans got changed. We had some restaurant leftovers from the fridge, and maybe we'll snack on something later.
This sure hit the spot.
I added a few drops of Italian dressing on my avocado because it tastes great that way.

Last night we went across the street to eat. They had something new on the menu, so I tried it. A 4 cheese grilled with bacon and a sweet bacon habanero jam on sourdough. It was surprisingly good!
Well, I looked for the beer brats Mark mentioned. Couldn't find them here, they only had the usual plus a chorizo (no thanks).
So I made a slaw brat.
Really good!

I've been hooked on Clam Stripa from Long John Silver. I seen
Clam strips for sale at the Grocery store. Than I found a different
brand of Clam Strips at another Store. Today, I tried Brand One-
Fantastic- I'll give brand name later, But they were way better than
LongZJohn Silver. And way mote clam Strips. That was just 1/2 of the box. I'll have soup later tonight.
