We went shopping and after commissary ended up at H Mart. Across the street from H Mart is Yen Ching and she suggested we eat a late lunch-early supper there. I was game. She ordered a vegetable soup and a side dish of mushrooms, bamboo shoots, and Chinese peas. We learned our lesson on ordering veg. Anyway her veg soup turned out to be an egg drop soup affair. It was good but not what she wanted. I ordered salt and pepper squid and a side of broccoli and mushrooms with oyster sauce. The squid was unusual with a heavily peppered batter on the squid. The oyster sauce and broccoli was excellent. There was enough for two with each dish.

Peep, I wish you could make your eggplant parm for me! I hate the frying part!

Loving the Asian dishes! Think I'll order Chinese tomorrow night.
