What is Your Weather?

We had a tornado watch earlier. A quick whirl of weather and storm followed. Now it looks pretty out although everything is soaked. Kitties were concerned and cuddled with me while playing "bed mice." They do not like storms.

Bed Mice - Where they rid our beds or anything covered from mice which are anything wriggling beneath the covers. A game that they never seem to tire of playing.
 
Finally getting good air quality and cooler temps!

The derecho that hit South Bend, Indiana yesterday, then continued on was a near miss for us!
I worked Monday night.
Around 3am another sudden severe storm came through. Our power flickered for less than a minute- the emergency door on the front wing slammed shut, then the side door alarm started going off.
I called the maintenance guy shortly thereafter. He came in and coded the doors to re-set.
I thought our generator was supposed to kick in automatically, but that wasn't the case.

I've had enough of all these storms!
Looks to be good weather coming soon.
I hope.
 
Hot and extremely dry here. 100° or over with no rain for at least two more weeks. The huge fire is still burning to my west. At max it was 94,000 acres, now 86,000 with 31% containment. Rough terrain, changing winds, and extreme dry is fueling the beast. 72 fire departments fighting it by land and air!

I understand that! We had one last weekend that was within 3 miles of our house. 😔
