I love love love vintage kitchen items and equipment as you guys know. But they really must function superbly for me to justify having them in my kitchen.

I adore yellow, flame, and red enameled cast iron cookware; yellow Ransburg floral breadboxes and kitchen accessories; unique things like my Sabatier knife store display case; a Lipton ice tea 5 gallon tea dispenser; vintage aqua glass canning jars/bottles; my well worn humungous butcher block table; an iron ice cream stool that I plan to cover with a lemon needlepoint cushion and paint white; an iron lemon motif light fixture; two lemon design tile murals I plan on insetting into the countertop on either side of my range; and my vintage Vita Mix blenders.

All of these things make me smile everytime I see them. It doesn't matter if they cost a dime or hundreds of dollars -- I just like them.:in_love:

But my very very favorite items are the two chrome Kitchenaid Model G mixers, my Robot Coupe food processors, and my Crown 6 burner, 2 oven gas range.

My 1940's Chambers gas stove and the 1950's Montgomery Wards refrigerator are going to my basement as the centerpieces of a tiny kitchen I am planning for that room. It will be the ulimate guest suite, with a bedroom, sitting area, kitchenette, and bathroom.

What are YOUR most lovely kitchen items, and can I see photos?

spongewear bowl, an old family salt crock, some blue/green canning jars, a plaque from my grandparent's house..."apology- although you'll find our house a mess, come in sit down converse. It doesn't always look like this, dome days it's even worse." Also a "Give us our daily bread" wooden plate, hung on the wall, and a miniature painting of a windmill. yep, farmhouse country... as in hand-me-downs! The REAL farmhouse look! no, don't live on a farm, but we do have a great view of the mountain, and have antelope in the back...

I will say I love my Cast Iron the most the simplicity and indestructible nature of them always makes me happy. LL you have the best stuff though. I would love a vintage stove to go with my 50s kitchen but alas have not come up on one yet.

My La Cruset Pans and dishes - expensive but so worth the investment. My knife collection and my big well-worn chopping board. All because they are so functional and easy to use.

I love Le Creuset cookware, too. Little by little, I'm replacing Pyrex with Le Creuset items.

They are wonderful aren't they. My cassserole dish and big frying pan are my pride and joy, although I too am still collecting bit by bit.
