It's what the Paradise Island Resort called the salad that they served at one of the restaurants. My mother and I fell in love with everything about it. Yes, hearts of palm is a key ingredient.

I'd forgotten how great they are in salads and just a snack from the fridge. I've put another can of them on my shopping list.

I made slow cooker chili con carne last Sunday and the flavors have been melding since then in the fridge. I also made Buzz some corn bread.
It's a cool 81⁰ in AZ today so having chili is appropriate ☺️

Tonight will be scrambled eggs with leftover egg yolks from today’s cake baking. I’ll have bacon on the side.

Tina is out and about.... shopping for food bargains; so that will be the deciding factor that we will base what we will at least have for dinner.

I was low man in the triage queue. I have a lumbarsacral sprain. I’m to ice it, use lidocaine patch, and take Robaxine. They put me in for a PT referral, as well. It actually feels good today.

no clue about dinner tonight. Nancy is at neurologist and i have all the errands to do i didn't get done yesterday

Leftover pot roast (and STILL have enough left for a cold sandwich!), rice and asparagus. Lora's asparagus looked so good the other day that I had to get some, too! Delicious!

Fall - lol! It's in the 90s here during the day.
It's just a baked sweet potato, cut in half. I didn't do anything to it.

Maybe frozen Stouffer dinner or raviolis. Still have migraine, and I'm not really interested in cooking.

I still have leftover meatballs from the other night.

Brushed some meatballs with BBQ sauce and sprinkled with some shredded mozz.
Squash, zucchini and asparagus.
