What are you eating Sunday, 8/9/2026 to Saturday, 8/15/2026?

We are having a Big Frankie for dinner. It comes from a pizza place I used to work for.

Split open a sub type roll (we made ours fresh each day).
Place some shaved ham on the bun, then a slice or two of mozzarella cheese.
Sprinkle a little cheddar on top and and heat in the oven at about 425 degrees until lightly toasted.
Remove from oven and top with a creamy sweet -ish coleslaw.
Cut in half and enjoy! It was our signature sandwich!

Fried the dog in butter, then added some Reser's coleslaw. Tots and honeydew also.

I'll have one of these later, while I watch a movie.

I'm going with somewhat lighter eating today, and throughout the week.
I've got pickled beets and eggs, more honeydew melon as well.
Next week, I plan on doing actual cooking lol
Hoping to get around to finally making the Mississippi Chicken, then I've got ribs in the freezer to prepare in the crock-pot.

I had Mississippi pot roast in Utah which was very good.

Tina braisedView attachment 85510View attachment 85510 a pork rib end roast with little red potato's and added dark cream of mushroom soup at the last 45 minutes of cooking. I had mine with apple sauce. It fell off the bone tender.

Hmmm, I've never braised a pork roast, only oven-roasted. I love it roasted, but I bet it's terrific braised as well!

Tina made a huge pot of slit pea soup for today. Getting the tomatoes from Tina's pot planted tomatoes and peppers. Having a tomato salad with oil, vinegar, and oregano, and a pinch of sugar.
Tina picked up ice cream and bread at Tranquility Farms this morning. We will make a meal with all that.
I didn't photo the pea soup. It's green. LOL
Yes...I eat the slices of garlic.*Errrp*
