What are you eating Sunday, 3/1/2026 to Saturday, 3/7/2026?

I decided to add Alfredo sauce and fresh spinach.
This is good.
The Johnsonville 3 cheese Italian meatballs are awesome.
I had one plain before doing this.
I also like to add nutmeg to anything that has spinach or Alfredo sauce 😋

Finally had hotdogs with Hormel Coney Island Sauce. I wasn’t impressed with the sauce but would class it as a survival food for the pantry. The dogs were Nathans which Nancy sliced, then added Sliced Vermont Sharp Cheddar, and air fried. I’d rather have a home made West Virginia style hot dog sauce. The grow lights made for odd photo coloration while catching up on world events on the television.

I looked up West Virginia hot dog sauce - sounds great! And familiar. I might have had something similar somewhere.

Friend, Christine, and I spent yesterday and this morning in Boston, checking out some new places to us for cocktails, snacks and brunch. Highly recommend 1928 Beacon Hill, with their 3 different rooms: speakeasy lounge/bar, nautical dining room, library room. Such a cool, Old Boston feel! Also cool and funky is The Wig Shop. The storefront is a front for the speakeasy behind it, LOL! The lounge is furnished with couches, coffee tables, and long drapes. Creative cocktails - we want to go back for the absinthe experience. This morning, we walked over to the North St. Grille for brunch. A small place, reservations recommended, excellent, huge menu! I got the housemade short rib hash Benedict and Christine got fried chicken and waffle sliders. Neither of us could eat more than half, without the potatoes.

That looks like a fabulous time!
Did you try the absinthe?
I had some in England once, I was warned it could blow your head off. Lol

No, we want to go back to do that sometime. Evidently, some of the stuff that's sold in Europe is illegal in th U.S. Bummer. Our server said that the absinthe that they sell has no hallucinatory agents in it. I asked which of the four that they sell is the closest to Edgar Allen Poe's absinthe (I've been a big fan of E.A. since I was a kid), and he said the Grande Absinthe probably was.

I'm thinking Steve's Dad told me it was hard to come by in England at that point in time, so I'm not sure where he got it.
There are duty free shops where you can purchase things, so possibly there - but I do know it was an older square shaped looking bottle.
I had a very small amount and holy cow.

Edited because I can't remember anything lol

I tried it in Paris a couple years ago. They had about 30 kinds listed. The drops of water seemed important. Who knew?
