Went food shopping this morning. I have errands to run, so not sure what/when dinner will be.

I'm planning to roast a chicken

Scalola e fagioli ( escarole and beans ).Only, I used spinach instead of escarole!
A simple, but tasty meal. I also add diced potatoes.
I made sure I took my beano to eliminate gas in the tummy.

Succotash with Bacon...

I doctored it up with a sprinkling of Italian herbs and some parm.

I bought a thin little 1-pound chuck steak marked down. Braised it on top of the stove with rehydrated mushrooms, onions and garlic. Boy, is it good!

Ha! lol, I scored the plates and the whole set (including the black wine glasses) like 25 years ago and still have everything. I was dating a lovely girl back in the day that had a roommate who was a dancer at a boobie bar. 🙃 she had a lot of money until she discovered drugs… she had to go.. so I helped her move all her stuff out and I got to keep the set. 😎

Funny, I was on my walk today, thinking about your roast chicken. Sounded so good that I might actually roast a whole one instead of buying thighs or wings or a rotiss chick.

More often than not, I put it on the rotisserie. But this time I really wanted the gravy that I missed at thanksgiving, so I did it in the oven.
