What are you eating Sunday 1/1/2023 to Saturday 1/7/2023?

I'll be making "Christmas" dinner. Shrimp cocktail, and stuffed mushrooms, roast beef, baked potatoes, yorkshire pudding, and burgundy gravy. Baked apple, and peach cobbler for dessert. IF all goes as planned.

Tonight she is making a hamburger casserole. I have a jar of oysters to eat as well as more cheese and crackers.

I bought a large package of chuck eye steaks and separated them into freezer bags, took 2 out this morning and whipped up a marinade of soy sauce, garlic, brown sugar and ginger.
Pan fried those. They came out perfect!
I've got the other one sliced thin for a steak and coleslaw wrap for tomorrow's lunch.

Pugs had an early dinner, the prime rib bones with meat still on them from Christmas dinner, and then baths. They got to chew for a little over 20 minutes before i took them away. Not much left on them.

New Year's Day dinner was our postponed Christmas dinner. Eye round roast, baked potato (oiled and salted before baking), yorkshire pudding, spinach, and burgundy pan gravy.
The pud turned out beautiful.

We had to stop giving prime rib bones to my friend's dog, as she would have diarrhea for days. Your pugs have no prob, I take it?

Never have previously, but there was only salt on the bones, not even pepper on them.

We had beef vegetable soup for lunch - she went to WinCo and got lobster tails and I have a jar of oysters need eating so that’s on the menu tonight.

Used pre-made pie crust.
This is possibly the best recipe for a quick quiche I've ever made.
It kinda bugs me when the spinach rises to the top while baking, but maybe I'm just picky? 🤔
It's delicious!

Tonight was lobster tails with homemade sweet potato fries and a coleslaw that was a Polish recipe with sour cream. The lobster tails are Canadian and still $4.95 each.

Cottage pie uses beef. Shepherd's pie uses lamb. Otherwise, they are pretty much the same. People use the terms interchangeably, but the above are technically correct.
