What are you doing today?

We did some garage decluttering and can’t imagine how much junk lumber we’ve accumulated. I have it stacked in the drive for easy load out tomorrow. …. We have a long way to go.

I took a used 12 ga Mec loader and a flat of Kent Fast Steel 12 ga duck loads to gun club and donated them to the cause. The duck loads would cost US$300 today and
I don’t recall buying them.
 
I worked last on Sunday night into Monday morning.
Just found out that one of my loves went to Heaven.
She was fine on that shift.
She passed silently I am told.
This is how I wish most of my residents would go.
I'll miss Rosella.

Related to work:
Last week, one of the nursing homes in a city close to here had a fire.
It was chaos.
Long story short, we have 3 of their residents now.
They were brought to us at 2am in the morning.
I think we're going to keep them.
As are the many other facilities receiving those who were displaced to various facilities between here and all points north/east/south and west.
It's been rough.

Not sure if this video will work, but yes that was the fire.
Since then, I've been on the phone with the DON at the request of some former coworkers who have been asking me if they could be hired back in.
They need jobs.

 
I was asked to work tomorrow night, and yes I'll do it.
I'll be in the front wing where things are a little more settled, yet still busy.
Brooke is going to send me the hall sheet later, so I can figure a few things out.

I did manage to take a walk today, dodging the brief bad weather.
 
Went on a 3-mile hike with a co-worker who's half my age. Traveled over rough terrain, many rocks and tree roots, up a steep incline to a peak (I was very light-headed with pounding heart at the top), caught in a drenching rainstorm on the way down. Might have to soak in a bath tonight.

On the plus side, we found a couple of dehydrator-trays worth of mushrooms. Liz is a natural with spotting them.
