Better today, think it was my COPD - had difficulty bringing up crap from my broccoli tubes. The coughing wears me out.

I just need to find somebody to unalive the roosters. I just can’t do that anymore (maybe if I’m on the deck and I see a chicken hawk circling when I have an 12 gauge in hand
). Even the gophers knows they are safe. We have rabbits, squirrels, wood chucks, a beautiful fox, turkeys and sometimes a deer comes thru. No skunks in our little ecosystem this year.I hope you feel better today. Getting old isn’t for *******

Today I went to gun club, had coffee and cookies with the guys, then shot a round of skeet with Hal, a 92 yo retired sgt maj, then postmaster. He still hunts ducks 
but finally gave up dogs after his last springer died last year. He's my oldest friend here having met him in 1981.

Going to Oxbow Lake in a little while to take a walk, then will go see the grandies for a surprise visit.

We did our Friday visit to oldest son in Seattle. Nancy is off to pottery venue, I’lI chill, literally. The heat is off and house is darn cold. Supper tonight is free range. I just had two small peanut butter sandwiches and a large glass of 1%.
I took a brief walk at the lake because it was too hot.
Went to see the girls, but their other Grandma Tammy had them for the day, so i just chatted with Felicia for a bit, then went shopping while I was there.

There's a storm going through the area, which isn't really going to cool things down much.

My friend’s 50th Wedding Anniversary party yesterday… what I sent my bud in Iowa.
Dave’s daughter in law’s parents are from Nort Dakota and made a surprise visit. They hid out in the house till the party was jumping and burst out from beside the house dressed as farmers and did a half hour comedy skit as Ole and Lena talking about Dave and Bess meeting and getting hitched. It was hilarious. They have done these type of skits forever and have had them on YouTube. Anyway they live in a small farming community close to the Red River Valley not far from Minnesota, don’t ya know?
Dave and Bess, Brad’s in law’s, and Nancy and I sat at their deck table and had a great talk about home.

I’ll head to WinCo in a bit to get blueberry pie fixings. My goal is to make a pie for my friend that had his 85th birthday yesterday. I’ll look for something to grill for tonight, as well.
Just found out we're getting a Trader Joe's in Toledo soon.
Now I can see what all the fuss is about lol

I got the pie in oven, no pictures. I may have put too many blueberries in, then forgot the butter so had to carefully undo the crimping and add butter. It went better than anticipated.
Thanks and yeah, but then Whole Foods closed about 3 years ago, I'm really going to miss going there

I've done that. I sometimes just cut a large X the center of the top crust, cafefully bend back the V shaped cuts and work the butter in then bend the cuts back. It works better than uncrimping. LOL

I’m on my own today and will go to gun club, maybe two, and the Ukrainian shop.
I have the night off now because my new gal called off sick.
It's not boiling outside today as it had been, but still- I'll wait until this evening to take a walk.

I went to gun club but gave up on shooting - it was to hot and sunny for my liking.
I was going to ride along with Jon and Jeff to Romulus, Michigan tonight to pick up Jon's son from the airport but decided not to.
His flight doesn't land until around midnight.
