What are you doing today?

I got most of my errands done this morning. I stopped at Batteries Plus to have a new battery put in my iPad. They sent me to U brake it, we fix it, a chain of computer and phone shops manned by smart young men and was impressed. They got it to start charging and told me to try charging from an outlet, not a power strip, which I’m doing. If it doesn’t work, bring it back.

Happy Donuts was on way home and got a maple bar covered with bacon and two chocolate covered old fashioned donuts - I can feel the sugar rush. Not good…

We had a great Sunday. A friend has season tickets to the Van Weazel theater in Sarasota. They couldn’t use their tickets to see Tina the Musical on Sunday, and offered them to us (free). The seats were $160 each!

It was wonderful!!!

I have seen Tina live twice, once in 1971 when she was still with the Ike and Tina Turner Review. Again in the mid 1990s in Orlando when she was solo. The actress was fantastic. She really did Tina justice. I feel like I have now seen Tina 3 times.

What a special gift!

To cut to the chase, I've not had a very great day.
Yesterday when I went to work, no one told me I'd be training a new nurse, that stuff takes some prep, so I walked in basically blind, but knowing the drill.
Ok, so here we go.
I did that for the 5 hours.
Told the scheduler NEXT time a little more communication would be appreciated.
I'm doing it again with her Saturday afternoon. We'll see how that goes.

This afternoon, I had just arrived back home from a brief shopping trip, the emergency squad were at the neighbour lady's apartment 3 down from me.
She was refusing to go even though she was the one who called them!
It took me and April both to tell her YOU ARE going.
April has the keys to her apartment so she can take care of the two cats.
I've contacted the building managers as to what is going on.
I'm telling you, never feels like I have a day off.

There is no hugs emoji. But I am sending you hugs.

@Sass Muffin I'm sending some hugs for Saturday just in case you are too tired to let us know. 🌻
It was ok Kathleen and thanks my dear.

In a little while, I'm going shopping after I touch base with a former coworker on the condition of her boyfriend. He's in the hospital and she's been asking for prayer.
Then I'll take my second walk of the day this evening.
Not working again until Wednesday night.
Yippy skippy!

I’m catching up on current events, having tea, then will go out and get a fishing license. For some reason this state’s fishing license’s run from March to March. It’s time to make donuts.

If they are back there they are everywhere.
Nope, they tend to stay in the back.

The moon, that moon was rising on our way back.

I just went out to take a pic a bit ago.
Shared it on FB.
Glad I'm not working tonight lol

I went grocery shopping today at Chief supermarket, then got a text from April asking me to join her and her niece for an early dinner.
Just as I was leaving the store, rushing around like always, it started pouring, absolutely pouring down rain.
So, I went out to eat looking like a drowned rat. 🤣

Oh yes.
I'm training Patrick tomorrow night.
He used to come to our facility during our first bad round with covid, only he was a nurse aid back then.
He has his LPN license now.
This time I was informed.
He's going to be a very welcomed new staff member.
I've been in touch with him.

Beautiful weather today, sunny, breezy and in the 70s.
Furnace is off, took a very long walk 🚶‍♀️

We spent the day cleaning closets.
What a mess!
I need to do that soon.
I deep clean and get rid of stuff from both my bedroom and hallway closets.
Twice a year in the spring and fall.

Normally take some things (clothes usually) to the Goodwill or the churches have drop off bins.

This is most of what we’re getting rid of, just from the one closet. Bags of purses and shoes, clothes, comforters.

I'm hitting the hay with the movie.

I've been talking to my fave CNA, she told me our lovely Bonita has gone to Heaven, we knew it was coming.
She's also having a lousy night at work.
Told her to hang in there, I'll see ya kid on Wednesday night.
.🥱🛏

We did the drive to Bremerton to an art shop only to find it closed till the 18th. There was an old school bakery close by that had all sorts of pastry and no donuts. I got a crispy and a bear claw. I ate the crispy and saved the bear claw for afternoon tea. When I was a kid we called crispies cow pies and don’t think I’ve had one since I was a kid. It was loaded with cinnamon and tasty. We are now at an art shop in Tacoma then home. Tonight will be grilled ham and cheese sandwiches, maybe a can of soup.

The bear claw is on a small plate and was good with a prune filling. It’s a good thing that bakery is not closer as there was a lot to choose from.

Planning on a restful Sunday.

We're going to have beautiful weather in the 70s, which is going to swing into another dramatic temperature drop = more severe weather possibilities.
Ugh lol
