My 3 lemon cake layers are cooling. I'll make lemon cream cheese buttercream frosting. This is a first run for both the cake and frosting. (I have never made buttercream frosting before) As a matter of fact I haven't made a layer cake in many years. My cake pans ran away awhile ago. :lmao:

I bought 3 cake pans recently.

Will be putting homemade lemon curd between the layers (and maybe sliced strawberries in the middle layer). I may also try my hand at decorating with my piping bag.

I have my fingers crossed. Wish me luck. If it turns out pretty I'll post a picture.

First run cake. I haven't made a layer cake in I can't remember how long. I'll try to get a picture of a slice when we cut it.

Lemon Layer cake with lemon cream cheese buttercream frosting (homemade lemon curd and sliced strawberries in layers. I hope it's good.

You can use the bread machine to make dough, then if needed or desired, you can finish it by hand & use your regular oven to bake it. :whistling:

Oh my Peeps!
I'm not much of a baker, but I know perfection when I see it.
Thank you Sass.
The recipe made 16 rolls. I used my new cake pans to bake them in. I formed them, placed balls in buttered cake pans and allowed them to rise 30 minutes. Then baked 15 minutes in 400F. I will probably make a loaf today in my new 9X5 loaf pan.
I have never actually cooked bread in my bread machine. Only make dough. I may use the jam cycle to make strawberry jam for my Christmas cream cheese and jelly thumbprint cookies this year.
