TUES. 1/24 - What's on the plate, Nate?

Planning on reheating some of the FABULOUS "Burger's Smokehouse" Whole Smoked Turkey & serving it with either green beans or peas & carrots, along with buttered egg noodles & a green salad peppered with cherry tomatoes, fresh barrel feta, & olives.

Well, let me try this again, as my post didn't seem to take the first time. Hmmmm...?

Having an overnight guest who will arrive in time for dinner, and has requested Chicken Cordon Bleu. Not a problem as I have everything to put it together, I'm just not sure if I want to make rice with it or fresh linguini. Definitely having steamed & buttered broccoli for the other side.

I had a mini bread baking class here yesterday morning, and the night before I whipped up the dough for a sourdough no-knead cinnamon bread. Needless to say making only one loaf was a mistake, as there were but two slices left this morning. So, I turned them into French toast with a couple of eggs for my breakfast (I gotta stay away from that stuff, as I'm trying to lose 5# before our cruise next month).

I'll post this in the bread forum, but the recipe for this was...

1# All purpose flour
1/2 C Cinnamon chips (you can add up to another 1/2C, but no less)
1-1/2 t Kosher salt
1/2 C Sourdough starter (vibrant)
13 oz. Purified water at room temperature

Blend starter with water until all you have is milky colored water, then mix everything together as you normally would.

If you are new to no-knead bread, go here for a tutorial.
(Maybe this link could be a sticky in the bread forum for those just starting out with bread???)

Pork chops cooked in the oven with the Oven Fry coating and some stir fried cabbage with a little added bacon....that's the plan for the plate, Nate :).

My menu has changed to chicken parm and steamed broccoli (this was supposed to be tomorrows dinner but I will be at job training tomorrow from 4 - 10 PM so I won't be able to make it).
