The Milwaukee Brewers were originally part of the American League from their creation in 1969 as the Seattle Pilots. They moved to Milwaukee in 1970. The Major Leagues expanded to 30 teams in 1998. In order to have an even number of teams in each league (for ease in scheduling), the Brewers moved to the National League.
So far, it's just those two teams that have been members of both leagues.
