TRUTH !!
Berries are simple, fleshy fruits that grow from the ripening of the ovary of a single flower with a single pistil. Though most of us associate berries with small, juicy fruits that grow on bushes, many of those we call berries in a culinary sense are not berries at all: raspberries are aggregate fruit (developed from multiple ovaries of a single flower), while strawberries are achenes, or accessory fruits (derived from a flower's receptacle). On the other hand, grapes, currants and elderberries are true berries - as are cucumbers and their relatives in the family Cucurbitaceae, eggplants, tomatoes, peppers, bananas and persimmons.
