TRUTH !!

Marco Polo (1254-1324) was a Venetian merchant and explorer. At the age of

17 he traveled with his father and uncle to the court of Kublai Khan, and was appointed as an emissary since the Mongol ruler wanted to avoid appointing Chinese in bureaucratic positions. Polo was subsequently appointed as co-governor of Yang Chow. The young man spent 17 years on his journeys in the East representing the Mongol ruler.
