Bernie Taupin won a Golden Globe for a song in the movie "Brokeback Mountain".

Taupin was born in Anwick near Sleaford on 22nd May 1950. In 1967, he answered an advertisement for a lyric-writer which began the team of Elton John and Bernie Taupin who have collaborated on over 30 albums. His creations include "Candle in the Wind", "Don't Let the Sun Go down on Me", "Your Song". He also wrote "We Built This City" which became a hit. In 2006, he won a Golden Globe Award for 'A Love That will Never Grow Old' from the film "Brokeback Mountain".
