TRUTH !!

Hannibal died between 183 and 181 BC. At the time of his death, he was residing in Bithynia, a kingdom ruled by King Prusias and had led the Bithynians in a war against Eumenes of Pergamum, who was an ally of the Romans. However, not wanting to risk the ire of Rome, Prusias did not oppose the Romans when they sent a party to track Hannibal down and kill him. According to Nepos, Hannibal was at his home when the Romans appeared and, not wanting to lose his life at the hands of his enemies, he committed suicide by drinking poison, which he always kept at his side.
