Tinned Fish

I was telling Nancy about the tinned fish charcuterie and she had this in her upstairs library. I’m looking at making the sardine pasta sauce for Friday.

I continue to marvel at all of the delightful facets of Nancy! I wish you two lived next door!

You can make an individual seacuterie for yourself, John!

I agree. These recipes seem to allow for a lot of versatility! I'm glad I got the book. When we were into sailing, I would have found this book very helpful. We had limited refrigeration on the boat.

Yesterday I went to Costco. On my list was tinned sardines. They had plenty of interesting tuna, mackerel, trout, and salmon but no sardines. My next place to shop will be the Emish Market in Fife. I know they have unusual sardines and sprats from Eastern Europe. I’ll pass on the tinned cod liver.

We went to Seattle and on the way home stopped at Metropolitan Market and got all I needed to make this sardine dish.

@Johnny West Do you have a World Market nearby? It's a chain with all sorts of goods from around the globe. I just discovered that they have a fantastic selection of tinned fish to support Nancy's cookbook. Very reasonably priced compared to many places that sell better quality tinned fish including Amazon. Very much worthwhile to check out.
