Thoughts and prayers please.

My dh just got a phone call from the wife of a very good friend of ours. He passed away last night. His wife had gone out with friends, came home and went to bed and sensed something wasn't right. She noticed her dh was very cold to the touch. He was dead. At this point we don't know what happened.
He was the chef at our local college and just a great person. He's got 2 kids that are in college. Dh is really having a hard time over this as they played cards together every weekend and went to Mountaineer frequently. Paul was only 47, too, too young!
 
I'm sorry to hear that, a horrible thing to happen. i found my grandmother and know the feeling well.

Man oh man, someone on FF just posted about a friend in Texas who had much the same experience. Very sad. So young to. You just never know.
Thoughts and prayers for the family on the way.

We still don't know what happened. Dh is with a bunch of his other buddies and we hope to know something later.
 
Barb, my thoughts and prayers have been with you all along. I am so sorry for the loss of your friend. It is far too young to die.
 
Oh my Barb! That's terrible. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family as well as his family.
 
Barb my thoughts and prayers go out to you all. I couldn't even imagine those circumstances happening to me. How terrible.
 
Barb, when I read this yesterday, I couldn't even post anything. It's so tragic. 47! I'm very sorry for this family's loss and for you and your hubby, too. A sudden death like this is mind numbing and I know it will take a long time to accept.
 
My thoughts are with you and your friend, Barb. Both of DW's parents passed away in their late 40's and I know how difficult was for the family to accept. Try to stay strong and comfort your friend.

Well still no news on how our friend died. They did an autopsy and they won't know til tomorrow.
The wake is Tuesday and burial is Wednesday. It was just listed in the obit as sudden death. And he wasn't 47 but 45! His wife is just a basket case and doesn't know what to do with herself.

I'll be doing alot of baking and cooking the next couple days to take over for her and the family.
 
Oh I'm so sorry Barb, I didn't see this till just now! How very sad! I wish I was there with you to help cook and bake......but at least know my prayers are there for all involved!! {{{HUGS}}}
Keep us posted if you find out the cause....way too young! :(
 
Well we went to the wake today. Between the afternoon and this evening there had to be over 1,000 people, there were lines out the door to get in. They had two busloads of the football team that came in. He was so well loved and will be dearly missed!
They concluded he had a massive heart attack and died immediately. It was so sad for someone so young.......
The burial is tomorrow morning. This is going to be so hard.
